| Q: What is the 'code number' you refer to? | ||||||||||||
| A: The 'code number' is shown next to the name of the author. The number helps us to quickly find the book on our database to check stock levels and pricing. | ||||||||||||
| Q: Is postage and packing included? | ||||||||||||
| A: Yes. The price shown for both UK and Overseas books includes full postage and packing. | ||||||||||||
| Q: Do I have to pay VAT on books or magazines? | ||||||||||||
| A: No. At the moment all books and magazines are classified as 'zero rated' and are not subject to VAT. | ||||||||||||
| Q: Do you have a printed catalogue? | ||||||||||||
| A: Yes. But it is only published once a year and rapidly goes out of date. The website bookshop is updated frequently and has details of all our current stock. | ||||||||||||
| Q: How are my books delivered? | ||||||||||||
| A: All books are sent in plain Jiffy-style bags, or in boxes with suitable packing, with your name and address on the front and our company name and postal address on the back. | ||||||||||||
| Q: When will I receive my books? | ||||||||||||
| A: Once your order has been processed we try to dispatch as quickly as possible. However, please allow up to 14 days for delivery. If there is likely to be a long delay before dispatch (for instance when a book is being re-stocked) we will try to contact you and let you know. | ||||||||||||
| Q: Will the books appear on my credit card statement? | ||||||||||||
| A: No. Only our company name will appear. You should be aware that on statements it is often abbreviated. | ||||||||||||
| Q: Will I get a receipt or statement? | ||||||||||||
| A: Yes. All customers get a printed receipt if they have paid by credit or debit card. This will be enclosed with your order. | ||||||||||||
| Q: I am not from the UK. How do I pay in British Pounds Sterling? | ||||||||||||
| A: When paying by credit card, just enter the amount as shown in British Pounds Sterling and your credit card company will do the currency conversion for you: it will be shown correctly on your card statement. (Some credit card companies may make a small charge for the conversion - many do not.) | ||||||||||||
| Q: How are books sent in the UK? | ||||||||||||
| A: All books are sent by second class mail or parcel post in the UK. | ||||||||||||
| Q: How are books sent outside the UK? | ||||||||||||
| A: All overseas books are sent by air mail. | ||||||||||||
| Q: Can I get my books any faster than second class mail or parcel post in the UK? | ||||||||||||
| A: Yes (depending on the weight of the order). But you would need to cover the FULL cost of any other method of postage and sometimes this can cost more than the book/order itself. You should also be aware that we cannot gurantee any faster delivery as this is not within our control, but rests with Royal Mail. We will be happy to get back to you with a price for sending your order by the fastest possible method of posting before processing your order. | ||||||||||||
| Q: How much of my personal information do you have on file? | ||||||||||||
| A: Once an order has been processed we only retain your name and address for mailing purposes. | ||||||||||||
| Q: Do you keep my credit card details on computer? | ||||||||||||
| A: No. Once an order is processed we do not keep card details on computer. | ||||||||||||
| Q: Why do I need to give you my telephone number? | ||||||||||||
| A: We require a landline telephone number in case there are any problems in processing your order so that we can resolve matters quickly. | ||||||||||||
| Q: But I am ex-directory and do not want to give my number out. | ||||||||||||
| A: We require a telephone number, but once an order is processed we do not keep the number on computer. | ||||||||||||
| Q: Will you use my number to contact me for anything else? | ||||||||||||
| A: No. The number is only for resolving problems with orders. | ||||||||||||
| Q: Will anyone else have access to my information? | ||||||||||||
| A: No. We do not share, sell or hire our mailing and subscriber lists to anyone. | ||||||||||||
| Q: Are you a British company, part of a larger group, or an overseas company? | ||||||||||||
| A: We are a British company. We are a small, award-winning family company and have no links or connections to any other company either here, or anywhere overseas. | ||||||||||||
| Q: I want to place an order but do not want to do it on-line. What do I do? | ||||||||||||
| A: If you want to place an order and send it by post please click the yellow order button. It will take you to the secure ordering page - at the bottom of the page is a link which will allow you to print out an order form, which you can then fill in and send by post. | ||||||||||||
