| THE SECOND WORLD WAR was a printed 76-page magazine
published bi-monthly for two years (12 issues), not a web-based publication. It
was not an 'academic' or chronilogical account of the war, but was a collection
of the personal stories, accounts, memories and recollections of those who
served or lived through the conflict, mixed with contemporary material drawn
from a wide variety of sources. The armed services were heavily featured, as
were the Home Front, munitions, shipbuilding, agriculture, nursing, animals,
women at war etc, etc. |

wire rod, open the magazine at the centre pages and insert the rod to hold the
magazine in place. Magazines are held securely and the binder can then be
stored upright, like a book. |
